Quick answers to the questions we hear most. Can't find yours? Email support@careerid.in or open a support ticket from your dashboard.

For candidates

Why can't recruiters see my profile?

Recruiter search visibility requires a 100% complete profile (headline, skills, experience, education, a resume and more) and the “Visible to recruiters” switch turned on in Settings. The completeness bar on your profile page shows what is missing.

What is the JD Score?

The JD Score is a proctored, job-description-matched assessment. Instead of a generic aptitude test, you answer questions generated from the actual role's requirements, so a good score is direct evidence you can do that job.

What does a proctored assessment record?

Only what you explicitly permit in the browser prompt: periodic webcam stills, screen recording and audio, plus integrity events like switching tabs. Capture starts when the assessment starts and stops when it ends — never in the background, never elsewhere on the site.

How do I track my applications?

The application tracker shows every role you applied to with its current stage, interview invitations and decisions.

For recruiters

Why is my account pending approval?

Every recruiter account is reviewed by a human before it can post jobs or search candidates — it is how the platform keeps candidate data away from fake employers. Approval usually takes one business day.

How do job credits work?

Posting a job spends credits from your company's ledger. Your current balance and history are visible from the recruiter dashboard; contact support to top up.

Can I reuse an assessment for another role?

Yes — tests are mapped to job descriptions, and one test can back several postings. Each candidate's results stay scoped to the role they applied for.

Privacy & account

How do I download my data?

Go to Settings → Account and choose “Download my data”. You get a ZIP of machine-readable JSON files covering your profile, applications and activity — no support request needed.

How do I delete my account?

Settings → Account → “Request account deletion”. You confirm with your password and email, the account locks immediately, and a retention-aware process permanently removes the data. Deactivation (reversible) is offered next to it.

Who can see my assessment answers?

Only the employer whose role you applied to, plus CareerID administrators investigating abuse or support requests. Details are in the privacy policy.
